TRICKED-OUT TRIANGLES

Let's bring some pizzazz to half-square-triangles!

I am working on a fun Row by Row project by the Canadian Quilter's Association.
Surprise! In this week's post the HSTs arrived.

Let's bring some life to these HSTs with a fantastic medallion print.

Fussy cut your medallions.  Mine are oversized for the required block, but trimmed to size will be gorgeous.  Cut another coordinating square for the other half of your triangle.  Because of the trimming required for my blocks, I am not worrying about making the squares the same size.  In this method we will make 2 HST blocks at once.

Right-sides-together, sew a seam on the diagonal
1/4" from either side of the centre line of your squares.

Cut the triangles apart in between the stitching lines.

 Press as you prefer.

Trim the block to your desired size.

These blocks are trimmed to 3 1/2" for the required size
for the CQA pattern that I'm working on.

Happy Quilting
and thank you for checking in,
