SELVAGE QUILT TAGS

The selvages on fabrics are so cute that I thought they would make great tags for quilts!

As part of a quilt label it is recommended to mention the fabrics.
Here is a great way to do just that.
You can even add numerous tags side-by-side if you desire.

Here is the process.

Cut the selvages off of both sides of your feature fabric,
cutting the patterned selvage 1/4" wider than the label selvage.

Sew the raw edges of one pattern selvage and one label selvage rights sides together.

Press open.

Press in half, keeping the selvage edges even.

Top stitch the selvage edge together.

Trim to size.

Fold in half and pin together.

Sew into the binding of your quilt.

I just love this 💚 and hope you do too!
